Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information (email, password stored as a salted hash, dealership name), subscription and billing status (payment card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers), and usage records (the vehicle searches and reconditioning estimates you run, including any actual costs you choose to log).

How we use it

To operate the service (authentication, lookup metering, billing), to improve estimate accuracy (dealer-reported actual reconditioning costs are used in aggregate to refine our cost models), and to communicate service and billing notices. We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties except our service providers (payment processing by Stripe, database hosting) and where required by law.

Retention and access

Account and usage data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. You may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@compceiling.com — we respond in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; transport is encrypted (HTTPS); production data is hosted with our database provider (Turso) with access limited to the operator.
